Leigh HoggLeigh Hogg

Leigh began his career in the financial services arena back in 1973 in personal lending, mortgages and collections with the Household Financial Corp, and held various management and sales management positions throughout Ontario until 1982. In the midst of a recession, he moved over to the financial investment side of life.

Leigh helped establish an office in Belmont Village in the summer of 1982, using a foundation of guaranteed products from banks, trust companies and credit unions, as well as investment funds to assist customers in reaching their financial goals. The heydays of 17% and 18% interest rates have long since passed, and through many ups and downs of the markets, he has taken a personal interest in the success of his clients’ education plans, retirement accumulation, and retirement cash flow. The process has been both exciting and challenging.

Curling, swimming and spending time on the golf course makes up part of Leigh’s leisure time, and on those rainy, snowy nights he collect stamps and postcards as well to consume his other waking hours!

Leigh thanks all of those who have asked for his assistance and who continue to recommend their family and friends, and looks forward to helping you with your wealth management.

Don RidleyDon Ridley

Don has been a member of the financial services community since 1967 - over 40 years. During his lengthy career he managed individual client portfolios for two major trust companies, and was a stock broker as well as a financial advisor.

Over the years, he has experienced many investment cycles/changes such as the ‘crash of 1987’, the saving and loan crisis in the early 1990's, bank and trust company failures, and most recently, the worldwide ‘stock market meltdown’ of 2008 and 2009.

Don and his business partner Leigh Hogg own Belmont Village Financial Group. With the support of very talented and extremely competent staff members, Belmont Village Financial Group is able to assist clients in attaining their financial goals.

Don and Leigh also share a love of classic cars and, as a consequence, Belmont Village Financial Group owns the 1962 Corvette pictured on the Homepage.

Glenn SzlagowskiGlenn Szlagowski (BA Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration)

Glenn first started in the brokerage industry back in October 1987, just a couple of weeks before the ‘Crash’ - certainly, baptism by fire for a wet-behind-the-ears rookie.

In 1992, Glenn left the stock brokerage world for a new career in the financial services industry. He is now with Belmont Village Financial Group and provides wealth management solutions for his clients.

During his 20 plus years in the financial industry, he saw the ‘Crash of 1987’, the real estate crash/saving and loan crisis in the early 1990's, Canadian bank and trust company failures, the currency crisis in 1998, the tech ‘crash’, 9/11, the Iraq invasion of 2003, SARS and the U.S. financial meltdown of 2008 - 2009. In those perilous times, guiding investors through the bad times and the good times, he continues to enjoy being part of an industry that monitors, conserves and builds wealth in all types of market environments.

Glenn has a financial blog which he updates regularly on his website at   www.wealthadviser.ca .

When Glenn is not busy in his role as a financial advisor, he dabbles in a most unusual hobby: coffee. "This extraordinary beverage keeps millions of people going every day - society simply could not function without it", he says. Glenn is considered to be one of the top writers in North America about the subject. His technical musing about coffee can be found at www.coffeecrew.com.
